Working As An Intern

I joined James Brausches Intern Program the second week of February. So I’ve been working the program for about 5 weeks. I have completed 6 assigned tasks, costing me approximately 50 hours. I received USD 298 for monetary compensation. This equals an hourly compensation of $ 6 per hour. But you must be aware there is no official pay. This is an internship that operates without pay. Nevertheless most people seem to receive a compensation for a job well done.

I have made some mistakes along the way, costing me some extra time, which decreased the result of my hourly compensation. And if the truth be told. Not all my tasks were 100% up to par. Meaning that if I had performed my assigned tasks better in the time allotted to me, my compensation might have been higher.

But even so, this certainly will not make you rich or even get your bills paid in most of Europe.

On top of the monetary compensation I received more than a dozen CD’s filled with procedures which line out many aspects of running an internet business. It’s hard to put a price tag on that. But I think these video examples are worth a considerable amount of money. Many, many of the CD’s and DVD’s listed at jamesbrausch.org have been sent to me as an incentive. And on top of that I received some great software to use in the intern program. But this software is for keeps so I can also use it for my own business. One of the great software programs I received was Glyphius 2008. And did I already mention some DVD’s with a considerable market value?

But this package alone wouldn’t be an incentive enough for me to keep going along with this intern ship. OK there are monetary and other rewards but on the other hand the time you have to invest in the program has value too.

So why am I nevertheless continuing with this intern ship?

Well the main reason is I am learning first hand from a pro. The procedures are relatively simple to follow and can be used to expand your own business. There are no costs to participate.  You only have to be capable of following visual instructional without asking questions. And the knowledge I gained by performing tasks has made me considerably wiser.

And yes at times I nevertheless asked myself, why did you ever start with this program! Because not all jobs are fun to perform. The answer always being that the fastest and surest way to succeed in what you want is by copying proven procedures and tactics. And I am a 100% convinced that this program will give me a head start in my own internet business. So it’s a win-win situation.
And I am getting acquainted with other internet marketers during the program which is another added value.

To finish I want to share a small anecdote with you. Our son Vincent is very talented as a musician/songwriter. And although he just turned 15 I wanted to record a demo with his band. As a result of  watching James Brausches DVD Earn An Income By Creating Your Own DVD I gained the necessary knowledge to launch (produce and sell) his CD on the internet. Isn’t that great. Recoring and releasing this CD alone has made my intern ship worth while.

Are you curious to hear the result. You can buy the CD for only USD 4 here and listen to and/or download the tracks here.

HI Raymond, Congrats! I am new to this, I have completed two tasks, and am in awe right now, as a third one I did was an offer in my email, stating, get and reply to 82 in 24 hours, get $50 on top of bonus. So i did, but I got 162 instead of 82, in 24 hours. I got a small bonus, but not the $50. So I was a little bummed. Then, when trying to send my 2nd task, my email program wouldn’t send it thinking it was spam. So a little mess there. Then I go on to craigslist posting task offer again, to check it out, cuz it changes constantly, the url, the tips, etc., and lo and behold, the example they use for replies to the ads, is my exact identical reply!! Why? My reply is quite lengthy I might add, and they used it verbatim. I am a little annoyed that you can’t ask questions too.
Do you have any suggestions for me?
I could really use someone’s help who has already gone further than I have.
I am a mother of five children, so my time is very important to me, and I feel I have put everything into this the past week, I have worked my butt off, long into the nights, etc.
    Please help me out.

Raymond congratulations on your new blog, it looks great. I also am one of the James Brausch minion members…LOL…keep up the good work.

Chris…remember that the intern program does not guarantee any payment, and the no quesiton rule is probably a good one considering the type of program it is. As far as the reply example, I think that it should taken as a compliment if your reply was used as an example in the training. This also will make sure that no one copies your reply for future use, as in the intern video it clearly states NOT to use the example as is. Hang in there!

Thanks Cindy, Chris & Joel for your comments. This is much appreciated.
Chris, I think Joel has answered your questions for me. ;-)
But anyhow, I guess like any other job, this internship also offers its share of tedious tasks/assignments. In this sense it’s not much different from many classes I have had to follow on my way to finishing university.
Or to put it differently. I guess you should follow an internship either if you are short on cash (short term) and/or if it fits into your bigger picture. E.g. if your goal was to earn a steady income using the internet, but you just do not know where to start now.

Thank you for the help, I submitted my 2nd task, as stated earlier, and have gotten no reply. I am afraid the computer system used is not recognizing my task, as I had to send as an attachment, only way my email program would let me send. I also sent it another way, not as an attachment, but was with a different email addy. So does it not recognize my work if it cannot recognize my email addy??? Also, no one answered my other question, can I continue submitting the craigslist postings as muc as I want??? I currently have another 109 people to respond to, bringing my total to 450 in a week. Thanks again for the responses and help.

    Hello Cindy,

I haven’t personally done the craigslist assignment. You should find all the info (about the number of responses required etcetera) in the assignment itself.
If you have reached the number that usually is required (and preferably an added bonus to stand out above the be ok.

Is Admin, RAymond? So your intern at the time did not offer craigslist as one of tasks? I can’t seem to get any direct answers here, they are all indirect. Please reread my postings.

I just got an email concerning the Intern Program and there is an upgrade to the process about to be implemented. It should take care of most issues and does address the way work is judged and payment is fiqgured. Also the assignments will be given out automatically once the previous assignment has been turned in….there was also something mentioned about emails not getting thru and assignments not getting thru using email, so this is for sure going to change.

Yes, I got that too Raymond. Thank you very much. I can’t wait! I guess for now, until I can submit my 2nd task, I just wait. I don’t have a third to start on, but that’s fine. Sounds like the new program they are trying to put into play is going to make this much simpler all around.
Thanks again, Joel for your help.

  11. Hey Ray,

I ordered your son’s CD a few days ago. I just received it today, and they’re very talented indeed! Excellent job! I’m glad you’ve made it thus far into his intern program. :)

Raymond, your boys band sound awesome! Nice Variety of style. Singer kinda reminds me of Tom Petty’s vocals a little. My twins have been playing and trying to start a band for over a year now. One plays drums, the other lead guitar. They recently signed on their best friend as bass player. Their half brother loves to write songs, and tries to sing their style of music, but not much luck there, (Rock), so they currently lack vocalist. I take it you get to enjoy hearing live music in your home daily, as I do here! LOL I think its great, what an outlet. We have also been enjoying taking the boys to concerts! 3 in past 6 months. My twins are 15 yrs old. They have taught themselves what they know, and constantly are getting so much better. I bought them a Firepod recording system for xmas, so they play around with that, but have only made one cd, mostly for purpose of half brother learning to sing to their songs. Just wanted to share, and again, I am going to show my boys your son’s music, they are great!

Well, I guess I am done here. Been waiting 4 weeks for 3rd task, no response on my last, Diego continues to use my pitches and responses in his examples. I have 285 emails waiting for responses, I don’t know what to do, I can’t very well continue when I get no new task, can I. This is hogwash. Good Luck to you new members of Intern, don’t be too good, they won’t need you long if you are. Basically they are paying for you for their own marketing list, so they can send other offers to these people, get them to catch any way they can. Bunch of garbage.
